Importance of Our Program's Vision Alignment
Most research stresses the importance of developing, recording, disseminating, implementing, and regularly reviewing an academic program's vision, mission and goals to continue its effectiveness. A program's vision, mission, and goals must be reviewed periodically for either reaffirmation or revision. In order to ensure that our Advanced Applied STEM Academy's vision aligns with the vision of the entities within which it exists, the development of and advising vision statement was created by following a series of process and content considerations:

- The vision, mission and goals must be consistent with those of the institution.
- The vision, mission and goals must be regularly reviewed and, if necessary, revised.
- The vision, mission and goals must be prominently displayed and promoted.
- Assessment is critical to the achievement of the vision, mission and goals.
